OVERVIEW

From a very young age, Kevin was interested in pursuing on-air radio work as a career. He exhibited that potential early in his life, winning awards as a public speaker in elementary school, and going on to become Class Valedictorian. Kevin later accumulated other awards as a broadcaster, and after establishing his career as a radio host, he began to branch out into other initiatives such as live event PA announcing, MC work, guest speaking and more.

Below is a look at Kevin’s announcing and speaking history:

RADIO

CFRL / CIXX-FM Fanshawe College (1995 – 1996) – Kevin’s first foray onto public airwaves came at Fanshawe College on “6X FM”, which at that time was a hip-hop/pop music station.

99.9 “The Fox” FM (1996 & 1997) – Kevin began working on air at the Fox FM in Sarnia a few weeks prior to graduating as Broadcaster of the Year at Fanshawe College. He started as the host of the afternoon show over the weekend and gradually worked up to weekend mornings, then evenings and holidays and, eventually, filling in for full-time staff to cover for vacations and illness, etc.

1110 AM CKTY (1996 – 1999) – Kevin did some part-time work on CKTY at the same he worked on-air for its sister station, the “Fox FM.” In 1999 Kevin held the position of afternoon drive host for a brief time before being moved to another station in the company, CHOK.

The Pit Crew (CKTY & CHOK (1998 - 2001) – Kevin, along with co-host Mike Kilbreath and producer Shane Roberts, created a weekly talk show dedicated to local auto racing. The program, called “The Pit Crew,” was an instant success. The show began its run on CKTY but moved to CHOK after a couple of seasons. Kevin co-hosted the show for four years. He later returned for one “reunion” show in 2003.

1070 AM CHOK (1999 – 2001) – In 1999, Kevin took over as afternoon drive host on CHOK Radio. He stayed in that spot until being promoted to Morning Show host in early 2001.

1290 AM CJBK (2006 & 2007) – After an extended time away from radio, Kevin filled-in for his good friend Mike Stubbs and hosted the “London in the Afternoon” program in the summer of 2006. The feedback was so positive, Kevin was asked back again; he since has hosted that program several more times and has also filled in for Pete James (morning sports reporter) and as host of the “Shauna Rae Show” (midday talk show).

92.7 “BX 93” (2007 – present) – Kevin began hosting the weekend afternoons/early evenings on “Country Favourites” BX 93 (FM sister station to CJBK) in mid-January of 2007. Feeling right at home at BX 93, Kevin has maintained that role part-time while he continues to spend most of his time with CPT Entertainment Inc. and other pursuits through Kevin Bulmer Enterprises.
